Course Description
Esthetic Crown Lengthening for Dentists is a one-day course designed to provide dentists with the confidence to perform surgical crown lengthening in everyday practice. The course will cover the different approaches and critical considerations necessary to achieve predictable esthetic outcomes. Delegates will learn to assess patients for crown lengthening procedures, decide which technique to apply to any given situation, raise a full thickness flap and remove bone with different equipment, and provide crown lengthening for their patients. The course will also cover the coordination of esthetic crown lengthening and healing time with restorative and orthodontic treatments for predictable esthetic outcomes, as well as the evaluation of hypermobile upper lip and treatments for gummy smile.
Course Aim & Objectives
At the end of this course, participants will be able to: Understand the indications and contraindications for esthetic crown lengthening. Identify the different techniques and materials used in esthetic crown lengthening. Understand the importance of pre-operative planning and preparation. Understand the importance of post-operative care and maintenance.

Former Assistant Professor of Periodontics in Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences, Ahvaz, Iran, 2000-2010.
