Layne Martin graduated StonyBrook School of Dental Medicine in 1998, where he received a scholarship from the US Navy.
After a distinguished career in the military, Dr Martin entered private practice growing it to a premiere Restorative and Esthetic practice in Manhattan. While in practice he completed the advanced Kois continuum from 2012-2014 and became a mentor at the Center. After becoming aware of how significant the Dental profession is in treating airway and sleep, he completed the Tufts mini airway residency and became a Diplomate of the ABDSM in 2020 and thrived in practice working with Oral Appliance Therapy. After selling his Restorative dental Practice, Layne went on to do an orthodontic and Craniofacial Orthopedic Fellowship at CTOR (Consortium for Translational Orthodontic Research). Dr. Layne Martin is now an honored professor and expert in airway first treatment planning at CTOR. He is the co-creator of the revolutionary new “night guard” for airway and wellness, the custom airVata™️, which was FDA cleared and PDAC approved last year. Layne also created the Open Air Pillow, a pillow used for positional therapy and has proven to mitigate snoring and sleep apnea in hundreds of users He has committed the rest of his career to treating sleep disordered breathing problems in children and adults.
