Vital Pulp Therapy and Regenerative Endodontics
This course is in Farsi!
Course Description
Endodontic management of immature permanent teeth with vital or necrosis pulp is challenging. Vital pulp therapy is an advanced treatment planned to preserve and maintain a healthy pulp. This treatment is essential, especially in immature permanent teeth, since the root development may be incomplete. This lecture describes advances in the introduction of bioactive capping materials and clinical protocols.
Management of carious immature permanent teeth will be more challenging when the pulp is necrosis. Regenerative endodontic treatments have been suggested as a treatment modality. The affected teeth continue with the root development and hard tissue deposition on the dentinal wall and are preserved as long as possible for our young patients.
Yet, several variables may affect the outcome of vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontic treatments. This presentation aims to comprehensively review the advances in foundational research in vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontics and their impact on clinical protocols and the outcomes of regenerative endodontic treatments.
In this presentation, we will critically review two areas:
i) We will discuss the recent endeavor of biocompatible synthetic materials introduced and used for vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontics.
ii) We will discuss the predictability of clinical success in teeth treated by vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontics protocols.
Course Aim & Objectives
In conclusion, participants should be able to
1. Discuss current research related to vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontics.
2. Discuss the current treatment methods in vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontics.
3. Learn current recommendations for vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontics
protocols.
4. Understand the outcomes of clinically treated cases to vital pulp therapy and regenerative endodontic treatment.
