Dr. Farzad Danesh

DDS, Msc, FRCD (Certified Endodontist)

Dr. Farzad Danesh is a certified endodontist and has been in Endodontic Practice for 30 years. He graduated from Tehran University, Iran, in 1993 with a specialty and an MSc degree in Endodontics; and became a Fellow of Royal College of the Dentists of Canada in Endodontics, FRCD(C) in 2013. His expertise lies in training dentists through oral presentations and hands-on courses. Academically, Dr. Danesh became an adjunct clinical professor at the University of Western Ontario, Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012. He has published articles in international peer-reviewed journals. His latest article was published in Ontario Dentist Journal in April 2020 on the differential diagnosis of vertical root fracture, cracked tooth, and perforation. Dr. Danesh is an FRCD(C), member of the Royal College of the Dental Surgeons of Ontario (RCDSO), member of Ontario Dental Association (ODA), member of the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), and Ontario Society of Endodontists (OSE).

Dr. Gevik Malkhasian

DDS, MS, Endodontist

Dr. Gevik Malkhassian is a certified dental specialist in Root Canal Therapy and is a fellow of The Royal College of Dentists of Canada. He received his dental degree (D.D.S.) from Iran in 1990 and practiced general dentistry for 11 years before immigrating to Canada. Upon completion of a two-year program at the University of Toronto for foreign-trained dentists, he continued and completed his education at the graduate Endodontics program at the University of Toronto at 2007.

Dr. Malkhassian takes great interest in both academic and clinical studies and decided while practicing as an endodontist to keep his affiliation with the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto as an assistant professor since his graduation. He is involved in teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels. He has been involved in dental continuing education and is a reviewer for dental and endodontic journals. He has received several awards from students. He is a member and a past president of OKU honorary

dental society. He also serves on the executive board of Endodontic Alumni Association of the University of Toronto.

Gevik father of one enjoys cycling and spending time with his family and friends. He is fluent in Armenian and Persian languages as well.

Course Description

This clinical course will teach you all you need for daily practice. All clinical topics covered! Step-by-step diagnosis process, case difficulty assessment, managing hard to anesthetize hot teeth, CT, and ultrasonics all are included.

Learning cone beam CT scan indications and ultrasonic will help you with your diagnosis and treatment.

The practical module of the course will teach you how to find and negotiate the calcified canals, as well as clean, shape, irrigate, and finally obturate the canals using the continuous wave of compaction technique (warm vertical compaction).

Course Aim & Objectives

  • Learn to use ultrasonic instruments to locate canals and MB2
  • Learn to create a predictable glide path
  • Learn to instrument calcified and curved canals
  • Learn to obturate the canals 3-D

Cancelation Policy

If cancellation is made four weeks from September 11th, 90% of the payment will be refunded. If cancellation is made from two to four weeks in advance, 70% of the payment will be refunded. If cancellation is made from 24 hours to two weeks in advance, 50% of the payment will be refunded. For cancellations with less than 24-hours in advance notice, there would be No refund.
