Course Description
- An awareness and understanding of the various treatment options available for posterior restorations
- A thorough review of different materials for posterior teeth restorations
- Successfully prevent and manage post-operative sensitivity of deep restorations approximating the pulp chamber
- Utilization of appropriate base and liners in order to isolate and protect the pulp of the tooth
- Application of matrices and wedges in order to accomplish proper interproximal contouring of the restored objective tooth
- Preparation of posterior teeth for onlay and inlay restoration and its cementation protocol
- Learning how to scan the prepared tooth with a Cerec scanner
- Adjusting and balancing the occlusion after the restoration has been done
- Optimally finish and polish the restoration
- The ability to troubleshoot and rectify common issues related to the use of each material & technique mentioned in the course
Course Aim & Objectives
- Learn how to prepare posterior teeth for onlay and inlay restorations
- Learn how to cement the onlay restoration
- Learn how to prepare posterior teeth for class II restoration
- Learn how to restore posterior class II with composite material
- Learn how to evaluate occlusion and accomplish the successful restoration of posterior teeth by suitable selection of techniques, materials, and instruments.
- This course uses Nissin typodonts, Kilgore teeth for preparation and restorations
- Utilizing 3D printed models for onlay cementation
- Learn how to scan the prepared tooth with a Cerec scanner
Instructor Bio
Dr. Ebrahim Aminsalehi
Dr. Ebrahim Aminsalehi graduated from Shahid Beheshti Dental School in 1991 and completed a speciality program in restorative dentistry in 1995. He was an assistant professor of the university since 1995 and is proud to have taught many dentists in Iran while being a member of the Association of Iranian Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry. He has given more than a hundred lectures at various dental conferences and written dental articles in the field of restorative and cosmetic dentistry in prestigious scientific journals.
His titles in Iranian Association of Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry are as follows:
- Chairman of the Iranian Association of Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry.
- Member of the Board of Directors and Secretary of the Iranian Association of Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry.
- Chairman of the Eleventh Congress of the Iranian Association of Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry.
- Executive Secretary of the 9th Congress of the Iranian Association of Cosmetic and Restorative. Dentistry
- Scientific secretary of the 6th Congress of the Iranian Association of Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry.
Also he has held many courses in the field of ceramic and composite restorations as executive manager and trainer. Now he is working in his private office in Toronto.
